  1. National Taiwan Normal University (hereinafter referred to as \u201cthe University\u201d) has established the \u201cthe Program in Japanese as a Foreign Language\u201d (hereinafter referred to as \u201cthe Program\u201d) for the purpose of cultivating Japanese language and culture professionals in accordance with the Key Points of the University\u2019s Credit Program. The Program is organized by the College of Liberal Arts.<\/li>
  2. Students who are enrolled in the National Taiwan University System and are not recent graduates are eligible to apply for the Program during their enrollment in the University.<\/li>
  3. The Program is based on the accreditation system. Students who have completed relevant courses after registration may apply for the issuance of a certificate for the Program. The registration process will take place in the second semester of each academic year and the registration schedule will be announced by the Office of Academic Affairs.<\/li>
  4. Students must take at least 20 credits<\/strong><\/span> for the Program and must have taken Intermediate Japanese (I)(II), Advanced Japanese (I)( II), and Japanese Conversation and Listening Comprehension (I)( II) to apply for a certificate for the Program. For course information, please refer to the Curriculum of the Program in Japanese as a Foreign Language.<\/li>
  5. Students who have passed the same or similar subjects as those in the Program may be credited after examination and approval by the organizer. Those who pass the Japanese Language Proficiency Test may be recognized for the following courses according to the number of testing levels passed.
    N5: Japanese for Beginners (I)
    N4: Japanese for Beginners (I)(II)
    N3: Japanese for Beginners (I)(II), Intermediate Japanese (I)
    N2: Japanese for Beginners (I)(II), Intermediate Japanese (I)(II)
    N1: Japanese for Beginners (I)(II), Intermediate Japanese (I)(II), Advanced Japanese (I)(II)
    The maximum number of credits to be recognized is 12.<\/li>
  6. Students who are registered in the Program and are qualified to graduate from the department (institution) they are enrolled in but whom have not yet completed all the subjects and credits of the Program may apply for an extension of their studies in accordance with the regulations; otherwise, they are considered to have forfeited their qualifications for the Program; however, if they are admitted to a master\u2019s or doctoral program at a school in the Taiwan University System, they may apply to continue the Program after admission.<\/li>
  7. Students who have completed the subjects and credits stipulated in the Program guidelines may submit their applications and their transcripts from previous years<\/span><\/strong> to the Office of Academic Affairs for the issuance of a certificate for the Program following examination by the organizer. Students who have completed the subjects and credits stipulated in this program must submit their applications and transcripts from previous years to the Office of the Registrar for the issuance of a certificate of credit for the program after the host institution has verified that they are correct.<\/li>
  8. Students should pay for the Program in accordance with the University\u2019s program fee regulations.<\/li>
  9. In order to take into account the rights and interests of students enrolled in the Program, the required courses are given priority to students enrolled in the Program.<\/li>
  10. All matters not stipulated in the Directions shall be handled in accordance with relevant laws and regulations.<\/li>
