International Students

International Student applicants must meet the MOE Regulations Regarding International Students Undertaking Studies in Taiwan (See Regulations & Links).
Eligibility criteria for the above-mentioned application:
- For admission to Bachelor Programs: High School diploma.
- For admission to Master’s Programs: Bachelor’s degree.
- For admission to Doctoral Programs: Master’s degree.
Dual degree program involves a student’s working for two different university degrees in parallel, either at the same institution or at different institutions
(sometimes in different countries), completing them in less time than it would take to earn them separately.
The two degrees might be in the same subject area (especially when the course is split between countries), or in two different subjects.

College-Level Master Dual Degree Program with Faculty of Geography, Universitas Gadjah Mada | |
Scope | Bilateral: NTNU(MA) + UGM(MS) Master’s degree |
Quota | Host institution may accept up to a maximum of 2 students per year from Home institution. |
Requirements | For NTNU students, they should finish at least 14 credits hours taken at NTNU to be eligible for admitting to UGM for the dual degree program, they need to take at least 14 credit hours during their residence at UGM. For UGM students, they should finish at least 12 credit hours (excluding thesis credit hours) taken at UGM to be eligible for admitting to NTNU for the dual degree program, they need to take at least 14 credit hours during their residence at NTNU. Each student will complete one master’s thesis in English language, with co-adviser from either institute. For thesis defense, the student may decide to take their oral defense either at UGM or NTNU, while at least one member of the committee will be from the otherwise institute. For student’s final oral examination, long-distance conference calls may be applied. Students will be responsible for the full cost of their education as well as all travel/transportation (domestic and international) and personal expenses. All the fees shall be charged based on domestic standards. |
Overseas Chinese Students
The term “Overseas Chinese Student” is reserved for those who were born overseas and resided there till the present time, or have stayed overseas for more than six consecutive years and have a permanent or long-term residence certificate.
The Overseas Chinese Student status must be validated by the Overseas Compatriots Affairs Commission (OCAC).

Exchange Students
Exchange student applicants should be nominated by our contracted Partner universities, and have completed at least one year of university work prior to participation in the exchange. Individual applications will not be processed.
