Directions for the Program of Integrating Digital Technology into Arts & Humanitities

Approved at the 2nd Academic Affairs Meeting of the
University of the 2018 academic year on April 17, 2019
Amended and approved at the 1st Academic Affairs Meeting of
the University of the 2020 academic year on November 4, 2020

  1. National Taiwan Normal University (hereinafter referred to as “the University”) encourages the interdisciplinary study of humanities, arts, and digital technology and has established the Program of Integrating Digital Technology into Arts & Humanitities (hereinafter referred to as “the Program”) based on the Key Points of the University’s Credit Program. The Program is organized by the College of Liberal Arts.
  2. Students who are not recent graduates of the University may take courses in the Program during their enrollment in the University.
  3. A minimum of 12 credits are required for completion of the Program, including 2 credits of compulsory courses and 10 credits of electives. For course information, please refer to the Curriculum of the Program of Integrating Digital Technology into Arts & Humanitities.
  4. Students who have passed the same or similar subjects and credits as those in the Program will be eligible for course recognition.
  5. The Program is based on the accreditation system. Students who have completed the course after registration may apply for the issuance of a certificate for the Program. The registration process will take place in the second semester of each academic year and the registration schedule will be announced by the Office of Academic Affairs. Students who have completed the subjects and credits stipulated in the Program may submit their applications and transcripts from previous years to the Office of Academic Affairs for the issuance of a certificate for the Program after the organizer has examined them.
  6. Students who are registered in the Program and are qualified to graduate from the department (institution) they are enrolled in but who have not yet completed all the subjects and credits of the Program, may apply for an extension of their studies in accordance with the regulations; otherwise, they are considered to have forfeited their qualifications for the Program; however, if they are admitted to a master’s or doctoral program at a school in the Taiwan University System, they may apply to continue the Program after admission.
  7. All matters not stipulated in the Directions shall be handled in accordance with relevant laws and regulations.
  8. The Directions shall be implemented after they are approved by the Academic Affairs Meeting; the same shall apply to amendments.
