Public Service Career Sharing: A Journey from Seeking Stability to Exploring Possibilities

When planning your future career, have you ever considered taking the civil service exam in hopes of securing a stable “job protection” ? However, within a stable system, are there truly no other possibilities for personal development?

For this alumni career lecture, we have specially invited Penny Pan, an alumna with rich experience in the public sector, to unveil the reality of working in civil service.

Penny previously served in the 2nd Division of the Department of Government Ethics, Taipei City Government. Within the public sector system, she experienced firsthand the entire journey—from preparing for exams and getting selected to navigating the actual operations within the organization. Yet, her story did not stop at “achieving stability.” In this lecture, she will share her mindset shifts during this seemingly secure job and how she courageously embarked on a new journey of “exploring possibilities.”
